Jimmy Dean was a beloved singer/actor/businessman/etc. perhaps best known for his song: "Big Bad John" (1961) and his TV appearances. Some people have a knack of recalling and telling their own life's story in a memorable and even funny manner. Jimmy Dean's book was a pleasure to read. He relates the backstage antics in early TV, some of it a little shocking! Jimmy Dean is quite frank in his book and I suppose that's what makes it so interesting! Jimmy Dean's story provides a great backdrop to the early days of TV and I learned a lot from reading it. After he covers his TV, Singing and Acting career, he explains how he got into the sausage business. His brother was involved with it, but unfortunately his brother did not share Jimmy Dean's business sense, nor his work ethic. This creates a strain between them. Jimmy Dean's autobiography gets personal, so you are brought right into his life. Please feel free to contact Prism Teachings with any questions you may have:
